Students at Explore Middle School, under the leadership of Math Supervisor James Murduca, competed in theAssociation of Math Teachers of New Jersey Middle School Mathematics Contest on January 19th, 2022. 500 students from all over the state participated in the competition. Of the 500 students who participated, 16 received perfect scores. Two of the 16 students were Explore’s very own Dmitri Sobolev, 7th grade, and Wyatt Stanke, 6th grade.
Rajan Grover, Rohan Grover, and Ryan Kang, of 6th grade, complete the team of the five highest scores who will represent Explore Middle School in the state competition.
Wyatt Stanke shared, “The competition was fun and enjoyable. I am very proud of the hard work I put into the competition.”
Aspecial shout out to all of the Explore students who participated in the competition including 6th graders Lori Kim, Erik Jacobson, Samantha Mursuli,Alexis Teeters, and Nicolas Noguera, as well as 7th grader Rana Pathak.
Mr. Murduca expressed thoughtful congratulations to all who competed. “We are proud of Explore’s competitors. The future looks bright!”
