Explore Middle School Earns Prestigious Recognition as a Top-Rated Institution in New Jersey

Explore Middle School is proud to announce its recent recognition as one of the top middle schools in New Jersey, solidifying its commitment to academic excellence and a nurturing learning environment. U.S. News & World Report published their public ranking of middle schools and Explore Middle School has placed among the top 30% of middle schools in the state of New Jersey, making it a U.S. News Best Middle School. Explore’s overall score this year is a 93.37/100, up several points from last year’s score.

According to U.S. News & World Report, the methodology used to determine a middle school’s ranking is based on the students’ proficiency in the mathematics and the reading/language arts state assessments. Also considered are the results of the state testing in the context of the socioeconomic demographics of the students. This helps to determine how successfully a school is educating all of its students.

Niche also published their list of the 2024 Best Middle Schools. This year, Explore ranked as the#1 Best Public Middle School in Hudson County. According to Niche’s website, Niche grades and rankings are calculated using dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews. Their data scientists and user researchers analyze data and user opinions to assess the key aspects of K-12 schools and colleges.
