I was particularly impressed with the HTHS Music and Audio Tech Band who played for all of the participants and how receptive the middle schoolers were. I look forward to supporting this event next year,” Muniz shared.
Students and instructors from County Prep High School and High Tech High School were also invited to discuss the details of their majors such as wood technology, architecture and design, and medical science to name a few. "Career Day provided High Tech's students a chance to pass on their passion for the career and technical education courses that they love to the students of Explore Middle School. In this way, Explore's students got a glimpse at the career continuum from high school on through to people working in the field, and that can be a really powerful connection. We were grateful to participate in this important event.”
Principal Krone and Supervisor Velazquez were proud of the event and the students’ engagement with the professionals.
“When we started planning for Career Day we had no idea how great the turnout would be. Watching such a great group of professionals interacting with our students was truly an invaluable experience.
