(April 27th, 2021 — Jersey City, NJ) Explore Middle School students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Monday, April 26th during the international induction ceremony.

National Junior Honor Society schools, students, and their families attended a live broadcast, which offered traditional marks of an induction ceremony including the pledge, and guest speakers.

The ceremony also included a presentation of the pillars: scholarship, service, leadership character, citizenship. The National Junior Honor Society elevates a school’s commitment to the values of each pillar. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

“I hope that wherever you are right now that you stand up and that you take a bow because you are awesome,” Welteroth shared. “You are the embodiment of the hope that the world needs right now. You are a leader. You are a hard worker. And you have demonstrated service-oriented leadership in a way that has caught the attention of your teachers, of your family, of your community.”
