Students at Explore Middle School participated in HOSA's Fall Leadership Conference at Brookdale Community College. The Fall Leadership Conference is an annual event hosted by the NJ HOSA Executive Council in which local chapter officers, advisors, and members are brought together to develop and gain leadership skills, network with peers, engage in workshops, and listen to guest speakers from the health/medical community.
8th grader Dmitri Sobolev shared, “The conference was a great experience. We learned a lot and experienced some great opportunities. It was also fun meeting the other NJ HOSA members as well as the state executive council.”
“The students had a great time at FLC; they networked and worked well with high school students throughout New Jersey. Dmitri, Melody, Brianca, and Hilarya received compliments about their knowledge and participation. I hope they utilize the skills they developed in workshops and experiences in their daily lives,” stated Advisor Ms. Norrey Benito.
