(November 2, 2019 — Jersey City) The Parent Student Association (PSA) held the Annual Pancake Breakfast with support from students, families, staff, community members and the HCST Foundation and HCST Administration.
The PSA teamed up with Mr. Mario Rodriguez, Mr. Danny Ward, and the Explore culinary staff to serve a breakfast buffet that everyone truly enjoyed. “It was great to see the community come together in support of our Explore students,” Rodriguez stated. “We truly have a great thing going here thanks to all of the parents, students, and staff that make it happen every single day.”
Thanks to the hard work of all involved, the PSA raised close to $1,000 and students and staff spent a great morning together. “I enjoyed the morning eating delicious food with mother while I had the chance to interact with parents, staff, and students outside of the classroom setting. It was a really great day filled with love and laughter with the Explore family. Can’t wait for the next one!” music instructor, Angela Cirillo shared.
8th grader, Jonpierre Saitta volunteered the entire morning. “It was nice to see all of us come together to create a successful fundraiser that will benefit our school. I was happy to volunteer and I really liked getting to meet the parents, siblings, and other family members of my peers as I collected money and tickets. I was really proud of all the hard work we did.”
Principal Krone shared, “I was overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and am so thankful to the students and parents who took turns working in shifts so that everyone had time to help, eat and mingle. I was fortunate enough that my family was able to join us for breakfast as well, so that was very special for me. Explore really is one big, extended family.”
The next event is the Parent Social on November 15th hosted by the PSA. Please check our calendar for all upcoming events: explore.hcstonline.org/calendar/
