Building Community Partnerships: VFW Post 226

Our Wolfpack students had the honor of visiting Bayonne’s VFW Post 226, where they received a meaningful tour of the VFW Post Museum and learned more about the sacrifices, service, and history of our veterans. Students also designed informational infographics for several items displayed throughout the museum, helping bring history to life for visitors while connecting classroom learning with real world experiences.

A special thank you to Commander Glen J. Flora, Tony Goodson, Purple Heart recipient, Walter P. Kaczmarek, U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Purple Heart Combat Veteran, and our wonderful Ms. Jackie George for welcoming us, sharing your stories, and making this experience so memorable for our students.

We are grateful for opportunities that connect our students with history, service, and community.
