Remembering Frank J. Gargiulo, “Mr. G.”

Today, we remember and honor a visionary leader whose belief in children’s diverse strengths helped shape the only County Vocational Middle School we know and love today.

With the late founding Principal, Charles Matthews, Mr. G. recognized the importance of multiple intelligences, project-based learning, and the simple but powerful idea that “interest drives learning”. His commitment to providing meaningful learning experiences inspired the HCST Community.

Just as importantly, he believed in people. He empowered our school leadership team to innovate and grow. With his encouragement, our school evolved from a community of just 22 students into the thriving learning environment it is today.

Mr. G.’s confidence in our mission gave us the foundation to create opportunities that have impacted countless young lives within vocational education.

His vision lives on every day through the students we serve, the curiosity we nurture, and the community we continue to build.

Mr. G. will be deeply missed, but his impact will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all the lives he touched.
